- 3/19/2024:I just found out that Wolters Kluwers had an employee’s email compromised and started sending out phishing attempts to all their customers. Warn your employees to be on the lookout for malicious emails from Elizabeth Boyd @ Wolters Kluwer10/02/2023:Theresa Irlbeck called and said Bryce Irlbeck’s email was hacked. They were receiving transfer and payment requests from a few of Bryce’s accounts. If you receive any phone calls or emails pertaining to any business with Bryce please alert me and I will contact Theresa to verify. Below is a list of accounts associated with Bryce:

- 09/20/2023:Michael and Becky Bruch’s computer was compromised. The hacker view their accounts in internet banking. If you receive any phone calls of anyone claiming to be them, or trying to gather account information please contact John.
- 9/13/2023:We are receiving emails from [email protected]. DO NOT OPEN THESE EMAILS. That is not a legitimate email address from the bank. Please delete if you receive this email.
- 5/31/2023:Please check with Kevin via the phone before opening any emails that are sent from him. Check the verify sender name to verify it was sent by him also. Someone is sending out emails on his behalf from another address.
- 5/20/2023:I’ve seen a suspicious email from a Scantron employee named “Bill Garrod” get sent around to a few customers. Please notify everyone on your staff to delete this message, I am investigating but it looks like a phishing attempt to me
- 1/25/2023 Do not open any emails from the Hovde company. This email is a fraudulent, malicious phishing email. If you received this email, DO NOT click on the embedded link and DO NOT enter any credentials. If you did receive this email alert me immediately.
- 11/01/2022 Lauren and Marsha Clausen’s computer was hacked. The hacker was able to log into their internet banking account and transfer funds from savings to checking. If anyone calls claiming to be Lauren or Marsh please forward the call to John.
- 10/20/2022: Patricia Halbur’s computer was hacked. The only account she has at the bank is a CD. If anyone calls or tries to cash a cd in her name please contact John, or just verify it is her.
- DO NOT OPEN ANY EMAILS FROM ASPINWALL COOP. IF YOU RECEIVE ONE PLEASE CONTACT JOHN.
- I was notified by Accu Steel of possible hacking of their network. Please be very cautious of any emailed correspondence with them concerning wires, ACH or any other transfer requests. Always use the call back process to verify any transactions that they are requesting and also clear through John or Karen. If we get an email stating wire or ACH information has been changed, this information all needs to be double checked with a call back process. I have placed a critical alert on their CIF on Precision and special instructions on the checking account.
- There has been an update to our internet banking program. When a customer logs into internet banking they will see the below message on their screen to verify their email. They will need to click on “continue” if the email listed is correct, or “click here” to change the email address.
- New CoOp was recently attacked with ransomware. The hackers are requesting $5,900,000.00 to unlock there system and to not release 1 terabyte of information from their system. PLEASE BE EXTREMELY CAREFULL WHEN OPENING EMAILS. DO NOT USE YOUR BANK EMAIL FOR PERSONAL BUSINESS. DO NOT USE YOUR BANK EMAIL FOR ANY ORGANIZATION’S YOU ARE A PART OF. BANK EMAIL IS FOR BANK BUSINESS ONLY. If you are not expecting and email from someone do not open it. If it is an email from a salesperson soliciting the bank to use their product, do not open it. A ransomware attack would be devastating for our bank.
- If you receive any phone calls from or inquiring about Louis Bruhn please direct them to me. Someone has obtained her social security number and is trying to use it to open new accounts.
- Do not open any emails that look like they are coming from Jean Stadtlander. The subject may be “Transaction for invoice” or a “Transaction Bill”. not open any of these emails and please report them to me if you receive one.
- Do not open any emails from The Office Stop or Tony Brown The email address is coming from [email protected]. Do not open any of these emails and please report them to me if you receive one.
- Someone is spoofing my name and sending emails that appear to be from John Horbach. The sending email address if [email protected] with a reply address to [email protected]. Watch both personal and bank emails. Please let me know if you do receive one.
- Do not open any email from Iowa Customs or any of the Wurzers. Their email system was hacked. We have already received several of them. Please alert myself or Billy H if you do receive any.
- We are receiving fake emails from someone claiming to be Jeremy Carroll requesting wire transfers. The email address is coming from [email protected]. Do not open any of these emails and please report them to me if you receive one.
- Ask John before you open any emails from Duane Irlbeck. His email has been hacked and is sending out unsafe attachments.
- Do not open any emails from John Weber from Stones. Please inform John if you receive any.
- Do not allow any transactions on Gerald McAffee’s accounts without speaking to John first. His computer was hacked.
- Do not open any emails from the city of Manning employees using MMCTSU. They are sending out emails containing fraudulent attachments. Even if you have sent them an email they are replying back to the original email with these attachments. DO NOT USE BANK EMAIL FOR PERSONAL USE OR ORGANIZATION USE. IT IS INTENDED FOR BANK USE ONLY. If you do receive any emails from MMCTSU users with links or attachments call me immediately to review.
- Do not open emails from [email protected]
- Do not open emails from [email protected] on bank computers. They are sending out fraudulent emails.
- Do not open any emails from Jean Stadtlander. She is sending out Invoice emails that are fake. Please delete these emails.
- Do not open any emails from Amy Ferneding. They are requesting payment receipts. They are fraudulent.
- We are receiving emails from [email protected] with an invoice attachment. DO NOT OPEN THESE!!!!
- Do not open any emails from Joy Kerkhoff. Let me know if you receive one.
- Do not open any emails from Teresa Horbach. Let me know if you receive one.
- Please complete the KnowBe4 training. You should receive an email from KnowBe4 to link to the training. It is safe to click on the link in this one email from KnowBe4. Do not click on any others without talking to John.
- Do not open any emails from Amy Ferneding.
- Do not open any emails containing any Happy Thanksgiving messages with a greeting card attachment.
- Do not open any emails from Deanna Frank. She is sending out fraudulent links.
- Do not open any emails from Tom and Susie Ulrickson. They are sending out false invoices .
- Do not open any emails from Taya Jacobsen. She is sending out fraudulent links.
- Do not open any emails from Teresa Horbach’s yahoo account. Let me know if you receive one.
- Do not open any emails from Mark Johnson. He is sending out suspicious links.
- Please be extremely careful when opening emails from Amber. A customer reported a spoof on Amber’s email. If you hover over Amber’s name (DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING IN THE EMAIL) it shows an actual address of [email protected]. If you do receive an email let me know right away.
